The Mallorcan town of Sa Pobla hosted the Bàsquet +40 National Tournament, a sports event that marked the club’s 10th anniversary and brought together 19 women’s +40 teams from different regions —Mallorca, Menorca, Almería, Alicante, Barcelona, Pontevedra and Cádiz, among others— consolidating itself as a key meeting point for players from various autonomous communities.

As a company aligned with initiatives that generate positive social impact and promote values such as teamwork, perseverance and commitment, Dingus has supported the project from the very beginning, with a connection based on people and shared values. All of this is fully aligned with our culture of purpose, community, diversity and impact.

Agustina Salord, Managing Director of Dingus, highlights that “supporting Bàsquet +40 means promoting the idea that women’s sports, at any age, are a driving force for wellbeing, self‑esteem and community. We fully identify with their understanding of effort and teamwork.”

Salord adds that we want to be close to authentic initiatives, “rooted in their territory and capable of creating real role models outside professional sports. That is the kind of impact we seek as a company: helping good stories happen and be shared.”

Throughout the tournament weekend, continuous competition was offered in an atmosphere of coexistence and camaraderie, thanks to the participation of more than 250 players. The event also encouraged the creation of audiovisual content (photos and videos) for social media and received coverage in media outlets specialising in women’s sports. As Salord points out, “visibility is key. Ensuring that these players have space in media and on social networks inspires new generations and normalises sports practice at life stages that usually remain out of the spotlight.”

Bàsquet +40 promotes:

  •  women’s sports in an often underrepresented age group
  •  values of effort, perseverance and teamwork
  • community, wellbeing and self‑esteem through sport
  • the creation of real role models beyond professional sports

Collaboration aligned with the Dingus culture

Dingus’ participation as a sponsor is part of our vision of supporting initiatives with local roots and social relevance —projects that strengthen community ties and project shared values across the organisation and its team. As CFO Marta Monserrat confirms, “we will continue supporting proposals that contribute to the territory and its people. We believe in a form of collaboration that places the community at the centre and goes beyond one‑off actions, building long‑term impact.”
