• Dingus’ commitment to the recovery of tourism also includes supporting the dissemination of the initiatives promoted by our partners. In this case we echo the Covid-19 insurance added by the online agency, to offer greater flexibility and confidence to travellers. This is what 60% of them say they need to travel abroad…

A recent study commissioned by eDreams ODIGEO and carried out on 10,000 travellers, showed that “before committing to book a trip abroad, up to 60% of travellers would need a guarantee of reimbursement of their air tickets and accommodation, if their escape was cancelled due to the Covid-19”. And for that reason, the online agency has launched a new coverage for its customers, when they “cancel their reservations for various reasons related to the coronavirus, including having tested positive and requiring quarantine before the departure of the flight. In addition, medical costs and assistance resulting from a Covid-19 infection at the destination would be covered, as well as expenses incurred by the need for quarantine as a result of infection at destination”.

eDreams ODIGEO has made this information public, stressing, in the words of the director of Vacation Products, Quentin Bacholle, that we are proud to “continually adapt to meet the needs of our customers. Our improved insurance coverage is another example of how we put the comfort of travelers and ensuring their best experience first. Our aim is to instil confidence and help you feel safe when booking your holiday and essential travel abroad. In addition, this innovation continues the line of action we have developed to increase the capacity of our customer service team, which we have continued to improve during the pandemic”.
