The enhanced interface between SIHOT.PMS and our platform automates availability and deposit collection synchronisation, streamlining hotel operations and improving time management.
SIHOT, a leading hotel management system, has enhanced its integration with our hotel distribution platform, enabling real-time booking updates for contracted tour operator agreements within the SIHOT PMS – Property Management System.
As a reference for resorts in Spain and the Caribbean, Dingus assists resorts with distributing rooms and rates to major tour operators — a service generally unavailable from other channel managers. The enhanced interface now synchronises availability in real time between Dingus and SIHOT, ensuring accuracy.
Hotels can download booking data that will automatically link to pre-existing contracts with tour operators, enabling them to manage contracted bookings within SIHOT.PMS. This development gives hotels greater control over inventory and availability, as they can now manage negotiated contracts and allocate bookings more effectively.
By synchronising with contracted allocations, the Property Management System (PMS) can automatically determine whether bookings correspond to the agreed allocations for a particular deal and are assigned to a specific contract number, or whether the booking should be taken from overall availability. Updating inventory allocation in real time enables hotels to avoid overbooking and maintain control of availability.
Hotels can now access prepayments and booking deposits processed through the Dingus extranet and recorded in their SIHOT.PMS booking accounts. This enhancement also helps hotels to comply with Spanish legislation, as SIHOT.PMS automatically generates and issues customer invoices, including guest identification documentation, whenever this is provided by the external channel.
In addition, supplements purchased through Dingus’ distribution channels are downloaded to SIHOT at non-refundable rates, ensuring full compatibility between the two systems.
Carsten Wernet, the CEO of SIHOT, said: “In response to strong demand from our hotel customers, and to address the increasing complexity of managing negotiated contracts for tour operator bookings, we have collaborated closely with Dingus to enhance the exchange of booking and payment data. As a result, the manual handling of tour operator bookings has been automated, saving hotels valuable time and improving the speed of response, data quality and billing processes.”
Milena Galindo, Dingus’s SVP of Strategy and Partnerships, adds: “Hotels are under increasing pressure to reduce their operating costs, streamline processes, and maintain clear records of bookings and payments in order to comply with increasingly stringent requirements. Our new integration with SIHOT gives hotels full transparency and control over their distribution strategies with tour operators, helping them to maximise business opportunities in this sector of the travel industry.”
