In the second edition of the Smart Travel News Awards, we had the privilege (and joy) of being recognized as the Best Channel Manager in the hotel technology category.
The jury, composed of Edu William (The Wise Dreams), Rodrigo Martínez (The Borin Guest), Antonio López de Ávila (UN Tourism), Gerad Pasán (Iberostar Hotels & Resorts), and Juan Carlos Sanjuán (Casual Hotels), evaluated the success stories presented by each candidate. Dingus’ case benefited from the invaluable collaboration of our clients at Decameron. We cannot fail to thank them for sharing their experience with us and acknowledge them as key contributors to this achievement. This is a summary of the application submitted before the summer (which is why the data only covers part of the year) and awarded as the highlight of 2025…
Dingus and Decameron: a technological alliance driving hotel distribution in seven countries
In 2023, the hotel chain Decameron and the technology provider Dingus launched a strategic collaboration to transform the hotelier’s commercial distribution. The international project simultaneously connected 27 All-Inclusive hotels and resorts across 7 countries (Colombia, Peru, Panama, Mexico, Jamaica, El Salvador, and Ecuador), totaling 6,562 rooms.
The challenge: Decameron sought a partner capable of offering global distribution and optimizing operations, moving from manual processes to a robust technological integration. The implementation was approached as a corporate project, involving operational, commercial, and technical teams, with thorough monitoring over six months to ensure success.
Results that make a difference:
- 73 channels integrated via Dingus.
- In 2024, 53 active channels generated for the integrated chain 123% more bookings and 131% more room nights.
Beyond operational benefits—such as automated rates and inventory, error reduction, and migration from static to dynamic contracts—the alliance has improved internal collaboration and team efficiency.
Client testimonial: The then Functional Commercial Director – Core Program at Decameron, Pablo Zambrano, highlighted that “The relationship with Dingus facilitates rate configuration and communication with different agencies, optimizes time, and streamlines process execution.”
Decameron, recognized for its commitment to sustainability and recently awarded the international Ecostars seal, strengthens its commercial strategy with technology that drives competitiveness and innovation.
