Over the next few days, Dingus’ agenda includes several highlights. From the most important tourism fairs to present our solutions for hotel sales and distribution, to conferences and congresses in which we will expose and discuss current issues in the tourism industry.

New edition of Tianguis Mexico

The week begins with the celebration of the 44th edition of Tianguis Turístico, consolidated as the most important event of the travel industry in Latin America. Acapulco will receive buyers from 43 countries and 600 exhibitors including international hotel chains, independent hotels, airlines connecting Mexico with the world, land transportation companies, or the increasingly demanded DMC (professional tourist services companies in the destination area).

Some of our teams in Spain and Cancun have traveled to the state of Guerrero to attend the Tianguis and meet with clients in the area. A round of appointments is also planned to learn about Dingus tools, products and technology services: BookInCenter, MyChannel, PMSconnect, RoomOnLine and Book&Payment.

Roc & Doc in Mallorca

The Balearic capital will host for the first time the Roc & Doc of HSMAI Region Europe, the number one annual event in Europe dedicated to the latest trends and news for the hotel industry, in terms of revenue optimization, digital marketing and distribution. Roc & Doc will bring attendees together with thought leaders and speakers willing to share their ideas on strategies and trends in the sector.

The CEO of Dingus has been invited to participate in the ‘Different Voices’ panel, moderated by Klaus Kohlmayr (Chief Evangelist IDeas). Together with representatives of Emea, Sandos Hotels, Hotelbeds, Destinia, Logitravel, TravelgateX and CitizenM, Jaume Monserrat will tackle the discussion points suggested by the organisers, such as Brexit and the predictions of a new recession, the major changes in the tourist distribution segment, or the impact on the working environments of the global economy and the political landscape. It will take place on 10 April at the Congress Centre annexed to the Melià Palma Bay.

Internationalize to compete

The internationalisation of companies in order to be more competitive is the axis on which the Impulsa Balears Foundation is organising its next conference. It will be held on 15 April at 9.30 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca. As CEO and co-founder of our corporate Hitt Group, Jaume Monserrat will explain the process, motivation and results of the internationalization of the Dingus brand in Mexico.   The forum will also be attended by Gori Bibiloni (Carob); Gabriel Coll (Quely); Pau Ginart (Estel Ingeniería y Obras) and Mats Lindhom, from Calzados Bestard. The main lecture ‘The value that comes from outside. Internationalise to compete’ will be given by the technical director of the foundation. Antoni Riera will focus on export capacity as a strategic initiative and will provide the indicators and perspectives of this activity on the part of companies on the islands.
