We continue to grow on the Caribbean island with the addition of the Angsana Cayo Santa María, an “exclusive and ecologically sensitive destination in Villa Clara, for adventure, relaxation, enjoying gastronomic delights and creating memorable moments”.

In addition to its rooms and suites, the resort has swimming pools, a spa, gym, wedding chapel, private beach, restaurants, a water sports centre with activities such as sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking, and a marine laboratory. It “operates under a guiding philosophy of conservation, restoration, education and research. The marine laboratory has a dedicated team of local and international staff” including researchers.

Dhawa hotel, for its part, proposes to create its own experiences from a “contemporary, informal and creative” proposal, also from Cayo Santa María, a small island off the northern coast of Cuba linked by road to the main island.

Angsana Cayo Santa Maria and Dhawa are managed in Cuba by  Banyan Tree company. Based in Singapore and founded in 1994, it is one of the world’s leading independent multi-brand hotel groups, with “a focus on wellness and sustainability”.
