We have already prepared the integration with Apple Leisure Group, recently added to the Dingus connectivity catalogue, so that our clients have all the sales opportunities with one of the most important and representative vertical groups of tourism companies in the United States.

In a first phase, the integration is enabled for sending prices and availability to system, and the next booking notification is being worked on. In this way, we have designed the roadmap towards full connectivity with ALG in the coming months, and thanks to other ongoing projects, Dingus advances in the LATAM, USA and Canada market as the first provider able to offer in our platform all the channel segmentation of the American continent. We know that Dingus’ commitment to internationalisation will be very well received by the hotels connected in the Caribbean and Mexico, where ALG offers North American tourists the unique holiday experience they are looking for in quality and safe hotels.

Which brands are part of this connectivity?

For B2C channels, the portfolio includes CheapCaribbean.com and BeachBound. For B2B Apple Vacations; Funjet Vacations; Travel Impressions and Blue Sky Tours Hawaii. And the vacation airline brands are Souhtwest Vacations and United Vacations. You can access the description of each by clicking here.

Hyatt’s purchase of Apple Leisure Group

Last August saw the announcement of one of the largest takeover deals in the travel industry, with the acquisition of ALG by US hotel giant Hyatt (the world’s 14th largest hotel chain by number of rooms: 223,111). The deal was closed for 2.3 billion euros and, according to Hyatt Chairman and CEO Mark Hoplamazian, the integration of ALG will double our footprint in the holiday sector, with its portfolio of luxury brands, its leadership in the all-inclusive segment and its pipeline of projects in new markets, including Europe”. Alejandro Reynal, CEO of Apple Leisure Group, said: “Hyatt’s deep expertise and global presence combined with ALG’s strong resort brands, operational capabilities and development plans will elevate our differentiated position to the next level and create a leader in leisure and luxury travel”. With the acquisition of ALG, Hyatt becomes the largest operator of luxury hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean, and will expand its European presence by 60%.

Connectivities are an essential and strategic part of Dingus

We are dedicated to each of them in an intensive way, ensuring not only that they meet the needs and priorities of our customers, but also that they offer the maximum possible functionality and profitability. As a technological partner of the hotel establishment for commercial management – from availability distribution to reservation management – and taking into account all the technical evolution of the sector, we consider as connectivities from the services added to the web (such as chatbots and sales reinforcement messages), to sales management tools, reservations and collections, through sales and distribution channels.

We have our own integration protocols, something that allows us to adapt to the technical, commercial and operational needs of each sales channel, making the most of the functionalities of our tools. And since we are constantly evolving them according to the needs of the market and our clients, we have the agility to transfer those product and market advances to our integrations. By betting on integrations based on our APIs, we achieve greater integration agility and the incorporation of sales channels to our portfolio, exceeding 500 connectivities.
