Mexico, rebounding from the worst of Covid, is intensifying its interest in attracting tourists and this was evident at the 34th edition of the Cancun Travel Mart, which has just been held. A three-day event with more than 670 delegates (234 buyers, 446 suppliers and 7,500 business appointments in the 105 stands of the fair) and in which Dingus® was once again present.

In addition to the clear interest in the main US market (81.13%), the country’s hoteliers have increased their interest in the Canadian market (almost 6%), which in the year prior to the pandemic sent 2,300,000 tourists and generated expenditure of 2,300 million dollars. Between January and July this year, there were 1.5 million visitors of this nationality, with an economic impact of 1.7 billion dollars.

Hoteliers, especially those in the most touristic state of all, Quintana Roo, are therefore looking for technology providers that allow them to access a broad portfolio of connectivity with their priority markets. And here Dingus® stands out as a leader, thanks to the constant integration with the main channels in the USA and Canada, as well as the PMS with the largest share in America.

Our delegation at CTM’22 had the opportunity to meet with customers and partners, detailing first-hand the new features and improvements of the Dingus® proposal. But also to contact and meet hoteliers and operators interested in using the marketing and distribution technology that best suits the Mexican destination.

And now… London

After this expedition to the CTM, led by our colleagues from Dingus® Mexico, we will be heading for London. The World Travel Market will be held there from 7 to 9 November. The Excel London venue will once again become the epicentre of the travel industry with thousands of exhibitors, 182 countries and regions and an expected 51,000 visitors.

This edition is once again essential to understand the trend of the British traveller in 2023, a year that is currently marked by uncertainty, both in the UK and internationally. All destinations will be watching the evolution of one of the most important outbound markets, and Dingus® will be there to listen to what hotels and channels need, offering solutions.
