• A meeting with the channels that work with Dingus customers in the province of Malaga and a day of e.commerce in Andalucía Lab, main objectives of an intense week for the brand Dingus

“Security as a sales generating strategy” was the main reason we recently traveled to Málaga. That was the central theme on which Andalucía Lab organized the hotel e-commerce session in which we had the opportunity to participate. Jaume Monserrat, CEO of Dingus, moderated the roundtable in which it was discussed how the lack of technological security could jeopardize tourism activity in general and that of the hotel sector in particular. Given this concern, and given that the day of the Andalusian Tourism Innovation Center was intended to reflect reality and, above all, solutions to advise professionals in the hotel tourism sector and entrepreneurs who attended, the session focused on three key aspects of the security of information in the sale cycle of hotels: HTTPS certificate (Hypertext Transport Protocol Secure), PCI / credit cards and data protection of customers.

In his speech, Monserrat recalled that “the entry into force of the new European regulation in may 2018 will entail a number of important demands. Being prepared to face them – he said – will not only be a competitive advantage for the hotel sector: also an added value for its customers”.

Parallel to the technical session we were able to maintain a meeting with distribution channels in Málaga, among which were some of the most important b2b in Andalucía. It should be noted that this autonomous community is the third destination of Dingus solutions with more sales generated: more than 100M in Pull connectivity and over 137M in Push connectivity. As a thank their for the important role they play for Dingus in the province of Málaga, we organized the “Friends & Connected” event at the Holiday Polynesia hotel. The displaced team (Jaume Monserrat, Arantxa Pons, Juana Riera and Víctor Sánchez, CEO, commercial director, product director and managing director, respectively), had the opportunity to greet personally many of the people who make possible the day-to-day of the sales and distribution channels that trust on our brand.
