The president of Turistec (CEO of Dingus and co-founder of Hitt Group) intervened in the ordinary general assembly of the international cluster of technology and tourism based in the Balearic Islands to take stock of this 2020. Jaume Monserrat referred to how the unexpected arrival of the pandemic, its incidence in companies like ours and the impact on tourism “makes it necessary for all of us to work towards a common goal, regardless of the sector to which we belong”. In this sense, he asked to “guide a strategic turn where the collaboration between the public and private sectors goes far beyond cordiality and predisposition, presenting an agenda of initiatives with effective and measurable objectives and with projected results in the medium and long term“.

Turistec, ecosystem of companies and entities to which we belong as partners, has managed to increase the adhesion even during this crisis, reinforcing the common objective of overcoming it. It currently has 81 members, 64 full members and 17 agreements, which together represent more than 579,000 jobs and an impact on GDP of more than 4,200 million euros. In addition, the cluster leads the Digital Innovation Hub of the Balearic Islands, specialized in Artificial Intelligence for tourism, DIHBAI-TUR.
