• The London tourism fair again allowed us to hear feedback from our customers on the products and services that will be available next year

A year ago we had the opportunity to present our secure payment platform Book&Payment at the World Travel Market, which in these months has consolidated the confidence of more than 150 hotels (15% of our portfolio). This latest edition has allowed us to continue exploring the receptivity of our customers to the new products and services that we will launch in 2020.

We are especially pleased with the reception of what will be our first big Big Data project. This is an important advance in our solutions and tools that we will officially present with all its features, possibilities and developments in Fitur, during the month of January. The interest in the upcoming availability of PCI Rules has also been certified in WTM. It is the management solution that we will activate for the collection and pre-authorization rules, which reaffirms Book&Payment’s value proposition: “Take control of your collections. Eliminate PCI costs”.

With this new development, we will increase the capacity of the business rules offered by B&P allowing to simplify, facilitate and optimize the financial management of a hotel, working on the data of reservations and payment processes. It saves time and risks for the establishment and complies with the PCI DSS regulations of the payment card industry, thanks to the certification of Dingus as PCI Compliance Service Provider Level 1.

Good sales rate

While this edition of the tourism fair, the 40th already, has inevitably been marked by the brexit, the purchase of Air Europa by IAG or the fall of Thomas Cook, our customers have faced it with optimism, assuring for the most part that marketing for next year is going quite well (compared to that of this 2019).

In this situation, for Dingus it has been a main objective to strengthen our connectivity, ensuring that the integration always offers maximum functionality for effective management by the hotel. But also, to consider the arrival of new priority channels for the British market to our portfolio of operators. At the moment, 8 of the TOP 10 in the UK are already available with Dingus, and we hope to complete them all shortly.

Card security reminder

In compliance with the PCI DSS standard, next 02/12/2019 we will remove all cards data from our systems, so from now on it will not be necessary to continue to worry about the processing of these data. Customers who have contracted B&P will automatically see all card data tokenized with future output to this date, regardless of when the product has been contracted.
