• Cancun will host a new edition of its Travel Mart, the 33rd, premiering a new format and transferring the activity of the convention centres of recent years to the Iberostar Selection Cancun.

Tourism fairs in a face-to-face format return to Mexico with a first date between the 17th and 19th of October. The thirty-third edition of the Cancun Travel Mart will be sponsored by the Hotel Association of Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres, and will be held entirely at the Iberostar Selection Cancun.

The main novelty is a change of format, with meeting spaces. It is the first time in years that the CTM business sessions will be held in a hotel/resort rather than a convention centre, and the programme of events will be ‘strictly commercial’. Buyers and suppliers will be able to meet face-to-face (with strict protocol and social distancing procedures) and in pre-scheduled meetings to “discuss existing contracts, develop new packages or fill last minute spring/summer vacancies, etc.”.

The local press has echoed this event in a special way, as it is a long-awaited fair for the tourism sector in the Mexican Caribbean, with the opportunity for buyers from the destination to arrive again” to see how it is operating since the tourist activity was reopened, the places that have been maintained and “the new ones that have arisen. It is an opportunity to recover the market little by Little. Strictly speaking, it is not a typical trade fair, but, as Manuel Cuevas (president and CEO of William H. Coleman, responsible for the appointment platform on which the proposal is based) explained, “Cancún Travel Mart’21 will be an excellent opportunity for the Mexican travel industry to create and implement plans to recover from the pandemic”.

Would you like a meeting with Dingus?

Our colleagues from Dingus Mexico are already finalising the agenda of the event with interested clients and hotels, which we will be able to welcome at our own booth/stand. Of the 40 hotel companies present at the CTM`21, almost half of them have already made appointments to get interested in the Dingus distribution map, the possibilities of the platform based on Big Data for the analysis and strategy of hotel sales, Dingus DataHotel, as well as the constant growth of the number of channels and operators in the Dingus connectivity portfolio for the Caribbean area.

The ability to connect with the main TTOOs in the USA and Canada (such as the recently incorporated Sky-Tours USA and Apple Leisure Group) makes us the leading provider in the integration with both markets. And we know that this line of connectivity is very important for our clients’ hotels in destinations such as Cancun, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen or Tulum.

If you want to know all the technological and business possibilities of Dingus, contact us and we will talk to you at the Cancun Travel Mart 2021.
